Chrome is finally the most used web browser
The main reason everyone should be excited about this is of course that this means continued innovation in the web/browser space and more importantly users are now safer from malware than ever before. This can not only benefit the internet ecosystem as a whole.

You can debate wether Chrome is more secure than other browser, most notably IE. But you can not debate the fact that Chrome has raised the bar and everyone else is following suit.
I totally agree, Chrome is very secure and has proven as people choose. There are few issues I don't like about the browser like the idea you can login using your google account. I just want to browse the internet with-out someone be able to follow what I'm doing. When Google states that you should not sign in to Chrome if you're using a public or untrusted computer ( yes of course ).
ReplyDeleteIf provide your Google credentials, they are used for synchronizing bookmarks and browser history for example between devices (I plan to write another blog on that subject). They are not used for tracking or logging into any websites.
DeleteThat said if you log into any site using your Google credentials, your browser history will be tracked and linked to your account. This is no different than done by Facebook, Yahoo, Microsoft etc. I'm not a big fan of this but remember these services are free so you are the product :)
